If you are into golf, your children are probably going to want to try it once in a while. Children always want to emulate their parents, and that means they are going to find interest in all of the things that they see their parents doing. If the parents play golf, the children are going to show some interest in it. You can always take them to the mini golf range, but they are going to want to try the real thing. Start out by getting them a junior golf club set and then go from there. When you first start them out, you want to take them somewhere to get their junior golf club set that sells all types of golf equipment. The reason for this is that all children are different heights, obviously, and they all need different lengths.

Your grip is most important when you learn how to swing a golf club.
First, hold the club straight in front of you, just about perpendicular, with your right hand. Now, wrap your left hand around it. The club should be resting on the pads of the inside of your fingers, the digit closest to the palm, and the palm. You may hold your left hand at a little bit of an angle, so that the middle digit pad of your index finger is in contact with the club. Do whichever feels most comfortable to you. Your thumb should rest on top, pointing along the shaft of the club.
Now, re-wrap your right hand above your left hand on the shaft. You have your left hand wrapped around the shaft with your palm and base finger digits, right? Well, you should be holding the club with the right hand chiefly with your fingers. It should be just above the left hand and your right thumb should stick a little to the right.
The grip is a little tough to master, and there are a variety of ways to do it. There isn’t really a “right” way, just go with what’s best for you.

In golf, a tee is normally used for the first stroke of each hole, and the area from which this first stroke is hit is informally also known as a tee (officially, teeing ground). The word tee is derived from the Scottish Gaelic word ‘tigh’ meaning house and is related to the house’ in curling (the coloured circles). Of course, as the first golf tees were within a ‘circle’ of one club length round the hole, this would make sense. Thus, for example the ninth hole of a course is played from the ninth tee to the ninth green, and similarly for the other holes. Normally, teeing the ball is allowed only on the first shot of a hole, called the tee shot, and illegal for any other shot; however, local or seasonal rules may allow or require teeing for other shots as well, e.g., under “winter rules” to protect the turf when it is unusually vulnerable. Teeing gives a considerable advantage for drive shots, so it is normally done whenever allowed. On short par 3 holes where the first shot is a chip, the tee shot may be played without a tee.
A standard golf tee is 2.125″ (two and one eighth inches) long, but both longer and shorter tees are permitted and are preferred by some players…
