Hypothyroidism is the condition in which, the thyroid gland produces the amount of its hormone thyroxin that is not enough as per the body’s requirement. Since the hormone is directly related to the body’s metabolism, the entire body mechanism gets disturbed when there is malfunctioning of the gland or alteration in the hormone quality and quantity.
Here is the list of vitamins and minerals one should be acquainted with when buying thyroid supplement:
• Selenium: Selenium is used in the synthesis of T3 from T4. If the blood test reveals that your T3 levels are lagged behind your T4 levels, you should try for the supplement that contains the selenium. However, one should take this supplement after consulting the doctor.
• B vitamins: The group of vitamin B is extremely helpful to the body’s synthesis of T4. A standard vitamin B complex supplement will ensure that you are getting enough nourishment for your thyroid gland.
• Iodine: iodine deficiency is one of the leading causes hypothyroidism in poor countries. Iodine supplements can be taken by either iodine pills or by iodine salt.

The vitamins, minerals and herbal nutrients that assist healthy hair growth can be taken as supplements. Generally speaking, its better to take supplements that are naturally chelated, meaning that the supplements were developed in a natural base. This will ensure that the supplements you consume will be more readily absorbed in the body. There are some cautions to taking supplements of certain vitamins and minerals, particularly those that are fat-soluble because the body stores them.
Vitamin A can be highly toxic and supplements of vitamin A should be avoided unless recommended by a doctor. It is best to achieve one’s vitamin A requirements either by food or through a naturally chelated multivitamin. Also remember that smoking and second hand smoke can cause blocking of vitamin A assimilation, so it is best to avoid smoking and remove one’s self from areas and situations where second hand smoke is present if at all possible.
Vitamin E supplements should always be taken at 400 i.u. per day to start and work your way up to 800 i.u. Always take vitamin E in its natural form, which is d’alpha tocopherol. Avoid taking vitamin E supplements in the synthetic form dl’alpha tocopherol, which is derived from petroleum and is less available for assimilation into the body. If you have high blood pressure or other serious illnesses, consult a physician before taking vitamin E supplements…

For those wanting a product for skin care because of dryness and/or the appearance of unsightly fine lines and wrinkles, then it is time to consider the essential oils. But, before looking at how skin care products made with essential oils can be beneficial, it is important to first understand why those produced with chemicals and synthesized ingredients may be damaging. When we place skin care moisturizers or other products on the outside of the body, then rashes and other forms of irritation are the common reaction. For these reasons, you want to try finding natural skin care products and those made with essential oils are the best. Therefore, throw away any skin care product that is not made with all natural ingredients because these cheaper products may actually be speeding up the aging process by polluting your body and skin with toxins. When it comes to facial skin care, only products made with essential oils should be considered.
