From what I’ve seen, sports camps are still the most popular by far. It used to be that we were limited to the basic choices like soccer, baseball, and basketball, but now I can find BMX/cycling, ATV/motocross racing, cheerleading, paintballing, and even rock climbing. If there’s a sport being played out there, I can find it listed in the summer camp directories. This allows my kids to truly hone their skills in a particular sport and gives them their fill of their favorite activities.
It’s not all about the rugged and the athletic, however. My daughter is a budding artist, and I was able to find plenty of choices in the summer camp directories for art of all types.
