It’s amusing how meeting rooms are some of the last rooms you’ll find technology in the office. Sure, you’ll see the latest IP TV technology in the offices themselves. And, yes, every managerial-level employee in the company will have a Blackberry, a sexy, quick little laptop, and an office with IP TV.
After a digital projector, the next step in conference room technology is the electronic whiteboard. The traditional dry erase board has been a conference room standard for years. But it has limitations which really can be seen when compared to some of the IP TV technology accessible today. For one, everything written on a marker board is temporary, and must be erased to leave room to write more. This means that, if the discussion notes will have to be referred to later, an attendee will have to be assigned to take notes from the board. But this old-fashioned system is a thing of the past. Electronic whiteboards abolish the need to take notes by hand, as all that is put on their surface can be printed (as with Copyboards), stored as digital information (as with Peripheral boards), or even be organized, grouped, and interacted with (Interactive Whiteboards).
In general, knowing what kind of meeting room technology you need for your office is just a matter of surveying your needs. Do you generally hold important meetings with associates across the country? Do you find that most of the notes taken at meetings are fragmentary or incoherent, or you don’t have anyone to take them? Then some of the products discussed here may be for you. It’s just as easy to have too much IP TV technology in the boardroom as it is to have too little, so be sure not to spend more than you need. The technology you choose should make meetings run more smoothly, not slow them down while attendees spend all their time figuring out how to use these new tools.

Refining your writing process is key to your writing success
Many struggling writers are convinced there is a secret to the success of more confident writers. There is in fact a secret but it is one that you too can embrace to improve your writing. The simple truth is that refining your own personal writing process to your unique strengths and weaknesses can not only make writing easier it can also improve writing as well. Every writer’s writing process includes the same basic five elements: inventing, organizing, drafting, revising, and editing; however, in order for the writing process to improve writing that process must be tailored to fit the individual writer’s strengths and weaknesses.
Invention is one area that many beginning and struggling writers simply do not spend enough time on. Many beginning writers believe any time not spent writing is a waste of time. However, experienced writers know that the more time spent thinking about and preparing for the writing task then the less time that will need to be spent on actually writing. Invention might simply include thinking but writers can also use various methods to brainstorm from free writing to clustering. Experiment with many types of brainstorming and invention to determine which methods work best for you.
Organization is also a key part of writing preparation that many novice writers do not give proper attention. Depending on the length and complexity of the writing task this can take a lot of time or very little time, but do not overlook this important element.
Writing is of course an obvious part of the writing process, but many struggling writers simply overlook the fact that multiple drafts can make a big different in the quality of the work produced. The more time a writer allows between drafts then the more effective the drafting process can be.
Many poor writers believe that proofreading is the same as revising and editing, however experienced writers understand that revision is the reworking of content so that all ideas are fully expressed, transitions are clear between topics, and organization is effective. Experienced writers know that proofreading is more closely associated with editing but even then editing is more than simply proofreading for the simple surface errors of spelling and punctuation. Editing is looking at the structure of sentences and paragraphs as well as looking at grammar and word choice. Revision and editing should include at least two more draft but may require more depending on the writer’s weaknesses.
It is quite simple. Creating an individual writing process can improve writing and make writing easier as well. Scratch the surface of any successful writer and you will find an individual writing process.

This is not to say that there won’t be a learning time frame involved while the company tries to incorporate the new document processing program into their company’s systems. The learning period will be much faster if the workers involved in starting the new procedures are just mastering a new system instead of an entirely different business process. By improving the procedures that are already in place with the document processing software, businesses can be up and running using the new program and processesin a matter of days.
It is important for the company to select the new document processing software carefully, since not all software applications are identical. It may be advisable to compare the features and the fee of a number of different software packages before choosing which one is right for the company’s needs. If it is hard finding information about the package or the sales representative cannot answer particular questions about the package in question, then it would be better to begin searching for a similar package from a different supplier to get what is necessary for the company.
Most kinds of document processing software are created solely for a small business or solely for a larger corporation. What type of company the program is intended for can usually be determined by the cost of the software package, as most types of software made for use by large corporations is very costly.
