This is not to say the self improvement material and methods that are available don’t work, but so much of it is repetitive and some with poor content. Just read some of what you’ll find and you’ll know what I mean. The problem is when it comes to self improvement most people are looking in the wrong place. Hypnosis is the timeless, natural and effective approach to clear harmful, negative emotion, creating a calm and open mind and increasing confidence and self esteem. Most approaches have you use conscious strategies, plans, charts and other conscious techniques. The problem is when we use the conscious mind, we are sure to fall back into old “subconscious” programs. It’s the subconscious that is in control. When looking at the emotions that cause the need to seek pleasure in behaviors that lead to problems, such as overeating, great strides are made toward relieving or removing the problem behaviors. In a meta-analysis, including hypnosis in weight loss programs across multiple studies, it showed that when adding hypnosis weight loss increased by an average of 97% during the program and increased the effectiveness of continued success by 146%. This indicates how when using hypnosis over time there is a continual increase of benefits and results. (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1996).
Still, there is a more direct physical link to weight loss when using hypnosis. A study at the National Academy of Sciences focused on the release and affects of the hormone cortisol that plays a key role in the stress-response system.
