It may sound like the start of a really good joke, but it’s actually a serious issue. Many women are treated differently than men are whenever they walk into a motorcycle dealers office. They are looked at as inferior and often the dealer treats them with a huge lack of respect. Most motorcycle dealers, be they a Suzuki, Honda, or Yamaha dealer, are under the misconception that women are only good as passengers.
Times have changed dealers, and you need to wake up and realize that just as many women are buying and riding bikes as men are. Women do, generally, need smaller bikes, as their legs often don’t have the strength to hold up the bike (unless, of course, they’re female bodybuilders), but some men prefer smaller bikes as well. It’s not as though motorcycle dealers need to stock neon pink bikes, as most women are more than happy to have a dark colored bike. The world of motorcycle riding is changing, with women preferring to ride beside their husbands rather than behind, and it’s time that the dealership industry came to realize it. Ladies, if you are not treated with respect by motorcycle dealers, make sure you don’t take it. Instead, start searching at other motorcycle dealerships or online to find the bike of your dream.

If you walk through a motorcycle dealership you’re likely to find beautifully, shiny motorcycles. If you’re like most of us all you can think of it, “ooh – shiny new toys”. Sometimes, though, walking through a motorcycle dealership is a lot like browsing in an art museum. It takes all of the fun out of searching for a bargain. Looking for a used motorcycle, however, can be not only enjoyable, it can be rewarding.
You have to have the right type of personality in order to spend a lot of time looking at used motorcycles. It’s much like perusing through a yard sale that you just happen to come upon. Sometimes you find absolutely nothing and waste ten minutes of your time, while other times you might spot an extremely valuable antique or something that you’ve been trying to find for a long time. Looking for a used motorcycle, either online or through a local newspaper, can give you that same rush. Some people even find that they love the searching and finding more than they love riding! Looking for a unique used motorcycle can be a great way to while away some free time, especially since you never know what you’ll find.

Some students want luggage for a graduation present, others want a car, and some, more adventurous students, ask for a motorcycle for their graduation. While there are some female graduates who ask for a motorcycle, most of the begging teens are boys. At that age, boys tend to be more attracted to the thrill and freedom that a motorcycle represents. The question for a parent then becomes, “should I buy them a motorcycle or not?”
To begin with, if you’re buying your student a motorcycle, make sure it is a used one. Never give a new rider a brand new motorcycle because you know, some how, some way, it’s going to be dumped. This doesn’t mean that you have to buy a raggedy motorcycle. There are plenty of used motorcycles that both look and run great! Make sure, however, if you’re buying your child a motorcycle that they know how to ride one. Go with them to take the motorcycle course (it never hurts to brush up) and help them to understand how serious an accident can be. Then, get them outfitted right, make sure they’ve passed all their classed, and buy them a used motorcycle that can last them a very long time.

I saw a nightmare the other day. It invaded my dreams and had me shivering all through the night, and today, I can’t seem to get my mind off of it. What was so horrible, you might ask? I was driving along and happened upon a beautiful 2002 Ducati sitting, rusting on the side of the road. Why, you may wonder, was this beautiful used motorcycle rusting on the side of the road? Good question. I took note of the phone number on the “For Sale” sign and called the owner to ask him.
He said that he’d purchased the Ducati a few years ago but that he wasn’t able to ride it anymore due to a disfiguring injury. Because of the price he’d paid for it, he had to recoup his losses by selling the bike. The bike, unfortunately, was getting rusty because he was unable to consistently cover it when the weather turned bad. The man lived in a small town where there weren’t many motorcycle riders and felt bad that not only would he have to lose the money he’d invested, he’d also see his beautiful bike destroyed. This is one reason that someone who is selling a used motorcycle should utilize the internet. He could have listed his Duc with a few pictures and, for the price he was asking, would likely have had the bike sold in a short matter of time. Instead, a beautiful bike is going to rot.

Most of the Credit card companies offer Credit Card Rewards to promote their credit cards and increase their usage. But are these really beneficial for the clients? Sometimes yes, but most of the times it is an incentive used to lure the clients.
There are quite a lot of Credit Card Rewards available. Some of the most common rewards are Cash back rewards, Freebies, Air Miles etc. If we take a close look at these rewards we may feel that it is not a reward after all because if a client opts for the Cash back reward, he usually pays a higher rate of interest on the outstanding amount, as for freebies, the products which are offered for redemption against points are usually very highly priced.
Another problem with the Credit Card Rewards is that for all the Rewards except Cash Back you have to contact the company and because of this some card holders either forget about the program or do not have the time to get the prizes. Also, it is believed that these Reward cards tend to have higher fees to help pay for the program. Hence, while selecting a card it is best to look at other features like the annual fees, interest rate etc and lastly consider the rewards.
