Recognizing Depression Side Effects
Someone living with depression has many different feelings to try and deal with on a daily basis. Sometimes these can become so overwhelming that it is almost impossible to get through each day. There are a lot of mental depression side effects that these people have to deal with. For instance, depression interferes with both your personal and professional life by making it harder for you to deal with normal events. If you are dealing with depression, then you may find it hard to get out of bed for fear of what the day may bring. You may experience insomnia or you may find yourself wanting to sleep all the time. Either way you will feel tired and worn out all the time.
One that that you may notice is that you always feel tired, even when you first wake up in the mornings. No matter what you do it will seem like you just can’t get enough rest. It becomes hard to do simple ordinary things such as holding a conversation with someone else. It just seems too difficult for what its worth. Eventually, you will notice that you would rather stay home by yourself than go out with friends or family. Nothing seems fun or exciting anymore. This is partly because you feel so sad, lonely and empty inside and you may not even have an idea why you feel this way.
People who are depressed tend to overeat because they use food as a comfort zone or they avoid eating because it is too much of a hassle. Either choice is a bad one and adds to the depression plus, it can cause other health problems as well. Sudden outbursts of crying spells or being irritable are also signs of depression. Many people have aches and pains all over their body that they can’t get relief from until they treat their depression. Over time if depression is left untreated many people will be so down and out that suicide does seem like the only answer to their problems.
People in this condition find it hard to think clearly and make wise choices, which is why it is so important to seek help before you become this depressed. If you have any of the symptoms above see your health care provided for advice. If a friend or loved one tells you that you could get over your problem on your own if you tried, don’t listen. If its normal everyday stress and worry then yes you can handle that, but if it true depression then you will most likely need some help. Don’t let your life spiral out of control any longer seek the help you need to live a happy normal life.
