A Simple Back Pain Cure

Back pain is a problem that millions of people deal with every day. There are many reasons why a person could be suffering from this condition and the way to deal with it greatly depends on the cause of the problem. However, a simple effective back pain cure can be used if you suffer from back pain due to overuse and straining your back muscles.

One of the best things that you can do to lighten back pain is to lie on your back on a hard surface such as the floor. You will then need to bend your knees and place a pillow or two under then to support their weight. If you would prefer you can also prop your feet up on a chair. By placing your body in this position it will take the weight off of your back muscles and lighten some of the pressure that is causing the pain. For the first couple of days you should remain in this position for as long as possible, but after this time it will be necessary to exercise your back muscles. This is needed to prevent them from becoming weak, just remember to start off slowly. If you are still experiencing pain try exercising for a little bit at a time every hour to build up your strength.

Over the counter medications such as Aleve and Motrin contain ibuprofen and are very good for back pain because they help to reduce the inflammation that may be causing the pain. Aspirin and Tylenol are also great products to use if you need to limit your intake of ibuprofen. Another effective back pain cure would be to use either an ice pack or a heating pad to ease the pain you feel. Many people find that a gentle massage can do wonders for reducing this pain as well. Keep in mind that these are advices that can help to lighten back pain due to straining and overuse. If you continue to have back pain or none of these advices help, then you need to try and locate the source of the problem.

This is important because finding the source of the problem can help you find a cure that works. For example, many people have back pain because they are overweight. In this case you could lose a few pounds and this would probably help lighten the pain that you feel. Sometimes improving your posture when you are standing or sitting can help to eliminate pain in your back because it reduces the strain on your back. Exercising to improve your overall health and stretch your muscles can also reduce back pain. After trying these methods of back pain cures you still have problems, then it is suggested that you see your doctor to determine if there is a more serious problem causing your condition.
